
There are reports that a massive explosion today, June 5 at about 6pm
rocked Governor of Gombe state, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s residence.
There has been no report on the number of casualties and damage caused by the explosion.
Although no group has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast as
described by Eyewitness. The Police, Fire Department and military
officials are however reported to be presently at the scene of the
incident.
Government officials are reported to be encouraging members of the
public to go about their normal duties as security operatives are on the
matter.
Sahara reporters gathered that a Police Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)
that was stationed in front of his house was the target in the bomb
blast.
This explosion is coming few days after the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrisa
Timta died in an attack by suspected Boko Haram sects on May 27.
