NDLEA arrests 6 for swallowing $156k
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Thursday arrested a money laundering syndicate for swallowing $156,000 (about N32m) at Excel Oriental Hotel along Airport Road, Lagos.
The six suspects including a Bureau de Change operator were arrested in the hotel while they were busy swallowing the large sums of money with the intention of exporting $156,000 to Brazil.

A fight broke out in the Japanese parliament yesterday, September 17 as opposition lawmakers tried to stop a bill that could see the military fight abroad for the first time since World War II. Borno govt creates Ministry to cater for Internally Displaced Persons
Borno State Government yesterday announced the creation of a ministry that will manage the affairs of all Internally Displaced Persons from the state. While announcing the creation of the ministry, the state governor, Kashim Shettima said the ministry will be called The ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement.
As part of its work, the ministry towards the reconstruction of affected communities in the state. The new ministry is to be headed by Dr. Babagana Zulum who until his appointment was the Rector of the State owned Ramat Polytechnic in Maiduguri.
Mecca Crane Crash: Families of Nigerian victims to get N70m each
The families of the six Nigerian pilgrims who died in the last Friday crane collapse at the Makkah grand Mosque are to get N70 million each. This was disclosed on Tuesday by Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud .
Saudi authority said families of each of the 111 people who lost their lives in the accident be paid compensation of (SR1,000,000) one million Saudi Riyals.
According to Saudi local newspaper, Arab News,
''King Salman ordered the payment of the following to the families of the victims: SR1,000,000 to the family of each person killed in this accident; SR1,000,000 to each injured whose injury resulted in permanent disability; SR500,000 to each of the other injured.''According to the report, such payment would not deprive the families of the deceased as well as the injured from the right to claim for private right before the competent judicial authorities.

While speaking to journalist,Senate president Bukola Sraki is still reacting to the 13 count charge of corruption leveled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau yesterday September 16th.
