Obasanjo to Jonathan: It Will Be "Fatally Morally Flawed" To Contest in 2015!

An apparently angry and frustrated ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has written what clearly competes as one of the most acerbic letters in modern history to President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of ineptitude and of taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria.

“Nigeria is bleeding and the hemorrhage must be stopped,” Mr. Obasanjo said in the 18-page letter dated December 2, 2013.
He said Mr. Jonathan has failed to deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people, stem corruption, promote national unity and strengthen national security.
He said in the letter titled “Before it is too late” that rather than take steps to advance Nigeria’s interest and up the standards of living of Nigerians, Mr. Jonathan had betrayed God and the Nigerian people that brought him to power, and has been pursuing selfish personal and political interests based on advice he receives from “self-centred aides”.

ASUU STRIKE Finally Over? "All Issues With ASUU Resolved"

The Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike has disclosed that all contending issues between the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Federal Government have been resolved.
He made the disclosure in a statement following his meeting with the leadership of the union on Wednesday.
He also lauded the patriotism and strong will demonstrated by members of  the union to uplift the standard of education in the country.
The minister, who had earlier threaten members of the union with sack following their refusal to call off the over five months old strike in the country’s universities, stressed that ASUU want the best for the country.
According to him, “I am very pleased to announce that all contending issues between ASUU and the Federal Government have been resolved to the satisfaction of the parties. Let me emphasize that we recognize and appreciate ASUU’s patriotic role and commitment towards ensuring that our Universities are well-funded, resourced and run like their counterpart in other parts of the world. Thus, we are all partners in progress and there is no victor; no  vanquished in the struggle of this nature for as long as our goals remain noble, not actuated by parochial interests, and targeted at moving our nation forward”.
He also assured that the Jonathan’s administration is serious about revitalizing all universities and will continue to fund them as a matter of priority.

Really ? Anxiously waiting for ASUU's response .

11 Inspiring Quotes From Nelson Mandela

One of the most influential leaders of the 20th century, Nelson Mandela also had a way with words.Nelson Mandela's fight for freedom inspired the world. Here's a list of some of his most memorable quotes, which remind us all to work toward peace and equality.

 1) "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

 2) "Hope is a powerful weapon, and (one) no one power on earth can deprive you of."

3) “Difficulties break some men but make others. No axe is sharp enough to cut the soul of a sinner who keeps on trying, one armed with the hope that he will rise even in the end."

4) "Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity."

 5) "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."

 6) “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

 7) "A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger. You don't have that idea when you are arrogant, superficial, and uninformed."

 8) "Long speeches, the shaking of fists, the banging of tables and strongly worded resolutions out of touch with the objective conditions do not bring about mass action and can do a great deal of harm to the organisation and the struggle we serve."

 9) "Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do."

 10) “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

11) "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Great man indeed ...............Rest In Peace Tata Madiba

IT'S OFFICIAL: Khloe Kardashian Divorces Husband, Lamar Odom

After months of speculation, Khloe Kardashian is ending her four-year marriage to baller Lamar Odom.
It was reported that the Kardashian sister filed for divorce on Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. She also wants her last name restored to Kardashian from Kardashian Odom.
The reality star  is not asking for spousal support and wants the judge to reject any bid by Lamar for the same,
29-year-old Khloe married Lamar Odom in in 2009 in a large ceremony that was taped for the E! network, following a whirlwind engagement that was also filmed.
Kardashian laughed when critics began to say last spring that the marriage wouldn’t last.
‘‘I think everyone said it wouldn’t last, but I can totally understand why,’’ she said. ‘‘We knew each other for only 30 days and then we got married. ... I just felt it and same with Lamar. Thank God it worked because it very well could've gone the other way.’’
In recent episodes of ‘‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians,’’ Odom hasn’t been featured and the show has hinted at marital issues.

So sad

Kanye West compares his work to police officers, soldiers at war

The rapper takes the dangers of his job as a performer very seriously and says it’s all in a day’s work as he deals with public scrutiny.

The 36-year-old rapper also says constant scrutiny makes his job perilous. He said this during a radio interview, the rapper compared his daring stage maneuvers to the dangers facing a cop or a soldier at war. "I'm just giving of my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally," West said to host Garret  referring to his tour performances of songs like "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Coldest Winter," during which he stands on top of a moving mountain.
"That mountain goes really, really high," he continued. "And if I slipped … You never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I'm like ‘Wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something''.

West, who is not known for his humility, recently received some backlash for a satirical report that claimed he said he’d be greater than the late Nelson Mandela.

He described the extreme risk factors of his show, which includes 27 songs and several stage changes.
But West wasn't just discussing putting himself in the line of danger while performing. The 36-year-old rapper was also referring to the public and media scrutiny that come along with fame .

Paul Walker's final moments in Porsche captured in newly surfaced photos as plans are made for actor to be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills

The late actor's family has not publicly announced plans for a service, but his reps said Monday that a 'global tribute' was in the works.

New photos show what is believed to be the final moments before Paul Walker's tragic death.

Paul walker's funeral arrangements were underway Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, the Daily News has learned.
A source with the Los Angeles County Coroner said the famed cemetery picked up the “Fast & Furious” star’s remains Monday after an autopsy last week.  see pictures after the cut..

Paul Walker was in the passenger seat of the rare 2005 Porsche Carrera GT piloted by his business partner Roger Rodas.

The Forest Lawn location is the final resting place of other celebrities including Brittany Murphy, John Ritter, David Carradine and Lucille Ball. As Walker’s loved ones continued to grieve Tuesday, new photos of Walker’s last moments alive were obtained by The News.

A coroner spokesman said both men died 'within seconds' of impact.
The eerie shots show the Hollywood hunk wearing dark sunglasses and a smile as he rode shotgun in the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT piloted by business partner Roger Rodas, 38.
Walker’s window was down as the car left the doomed duo’s Always Evolving high-performance car shop in Santa Clarita, Calif., on the afternoon of Nov. 30.

Paul Walker died on Nov. 30 while riding shotgun in a rare 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Rodas.
Minutes later, Rodas would lose control of the exotic sports car and crash into a light pole and a tree.
The fiery traffic accident remains under investigation, but police said speed was a factor.

An autopsy confirmed Walker, 40, died of traumatic and thermal injuries. A coroner spokesman told The News both men died “within seconds” of the crash.
Walker’s family has not publicly announced any plans for a service, but the actor’s reps said on Facebook Monday that a “global tribute” was in the works.

“We’ve seen the most incredible outpouring of support from Paul Walker fans over the past week. To those who have attended the many tributes worldwide, posted heartfelt messages online and supported his charity Reach Out Worldwide – we’d just like to say THANK YOU,” the message on Walker’s Facebook page read.
“Your gestures of love have meant so much,” the reps said, adding that they would keep fans updated on their formal plans for “a global tribute.”
